Biking to Spot Birds at Tule Elk SNR

Avid birders joined Supervising Ranger Bill Moffatt and Kern County Audubon Society President on a bike tour of Tule Elk State Natural Reserve in search of rare species. There were 26 bird species were observed, and some were firsts for this year. Three pairs of great horned owls were seen nesting on the Reserve. All were absent last year due to drought conditions.
